During Teddy Roosevelt's presidency, he tried to control the unfair trusts as much as possible. He felt that these big companies who had enormous monopolies over one trade was being extremely unfair, and robbing the American people of a chance at industry. Due to this reason, Teddy Roosevelt tried to control the trusts as much as possible.
This interesting cartoon depicts Roosevelt as a hunter with a rifle. At his feet is a dead bear labeled "bad trusts." On a leash to his left is a scared, sad bear labeled "good trusts" which is under a tight restraint held by Roosevelt. Finally, the bears in the back are shown to be good bears that are helping Roosevelt rally up the other good trusts which seem to be in the bag slung over his shoulder. The cartoon accurately describes the determination Roosevelt had for gaining control over trusts, and finding more industrial equality for the people.
